Who says if you hire people who work smarter it has to cost more? Who says if you do excellent work the price must go-up? Actually in restoration, a lot of economy is gained when the restoration service can make informed decisions and has an aptitude for refined restoration techniques. For example, after a residential fire a table may suffer water damage from water used to put out the blaze, or a white or gray chalky patch may appear as a by-product of condensation that formed under objects sitting on the table during the fire. An inexperienced restorer may assume the table has to be refinished or even counted as a loss, thus driving up claim costs. However, our FRESHX expert technicians may determine that the blemishes can be cleaned away at a much lower cost.
We make similar decisions that keep wood from being warped, save metal and plastic surfaces from being scarred or pitted by smoke, and protect fabrics from permanent ruin due to smoke odor. We employ efficient ways to clean building and dry them out. That saves time and money. In other words because we want to be your restoration resource now and in the future we work smarter to restore items to their pre-disaster condition and save you money in the process now that's intelligence you can take to the bank.
What you see is what you get?
That's NOT true when applied to a water disaster. Certainly, it's plain to see that a flood, sewer back-up or plumbing accidents create a horrible mess. However, the cleanup problem may go much deeper than that. For the part of the disaster you can see, we use high-power pumps to remove standing water fast. Next, we apply our truck-mounted water-suction equipment to dry out carpeting.
Is It Really Dry Yet?
Those are the appropriate steps for this major task. However, it is not the final phase of the water restoration. If your policyholders' water disaster is conducted by expert professionals, the next step is to ask, "What about hidden water?" Picture a family room in a residential home after the clean-up. It looks okay, but beneath the wooden floor - is the back of it really dry? Worse, is there still water trapped behind the baseboards? Over time, if moisture is present, floors and wall covering can buckle and warp. In severe cases, it can even rot. Not a happy picture for the homeowner weeks, perhaps months later. The solution is to survey the site for trapped water and hidden moisture. We have the experience to judge the likely out-of-sight areas where these may occur.
Technology Helps Us Really See
Beyond that, though, we have something even better: Precision moisture detectors that can determine the water content of floors and walls. They are not only invaluable as and aid in detecting trapped water, they bring a measurable, scientific certainty to allow us to "see" that the moisture level of the building materials has been brought back to normal.
We use these detection devices without harming surfaces. When we find trapped water, we can release it trough discreet venting procedures. The saturated moisture and humidity are attacked through continued application of our drying process until our monitoring probes give us a normal reading. The result is complete water restoration, successful because we not only swiftly eliminate water, we go further. We make sure destructive moisture damage will not come to haunt this claim. Give us a call. We hope one thing is clear to see.... we should be your restoration company.
